Procurement Manager

Job Purpose

  • Lead the Procurement team to ensure all purchases are met with company procurement policy. 
  • Responsible for calculating, estimating, managing, and refining all monetary costs and expenditures associated with projects and works of the building portfolio while ensuring that work quality, compliance and regulatory standards are maintained at the highest levels.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle quotations, tenders, bid analysis, price negotiations, and risk evaluations, and selects suppliers in accordance with company policies
  • Responsible for details evaluation of the tender/quotations
  • Measurement, valuation of variation works, interim payment and settlement of Final Accounts with clients / Sub-contractors independently
  • Preparation of tenders, including details regarding quantities of required materials
  • On-going cost analysis of maintenance and repair work
  • Handle contractual issues, project planning and delay analysis 
  • Control all stages of projects and works within predetermined budget and expenditure. 
  • Carry out monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasting of final costs and sales.
  • Feasibility studies of requests from Business Units
  • Work as part of a team to ensure that the requirements of budget holder are delivered.
  • Site visits, assessments, and projections for future works
  • Able to work well within a team-based environment.
  • Monitor all commercial information including labour, material and sub-contractor cost forecasting to ensure its alignment with company budgets.
  • Other duties as may be required from time to time.

 

Skills, Qualifications and Experience Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent, preferably with relevant professional / qualification
  • At least 5 years of solid experience in QS practice and/or procurement role
  • Solid experience in property and facility management industries will be a definite advantage
  • Proficiency in general contract administration and quantity surveying skills
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant Manager
  • Good command of both written and spoken Chinese and English
