Assistant Manager, Technical Services (Building Services)

Job Purpose

Assist the Technical Manager for the overall planning, budgeting, implementation and quality control of all works and E & M facilities of assigned building(s) and to provide technical advice & supports to all business units in relation to building services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Technical manager to manage, monitor, and audit for all technical works & system maintenance to deliver safe, reliable, quality, and cost-effective works in relation to building services of the assigned Hysan building(s).
  • Support Manager, Technical Services to establish and implement plans for energy efficiency, indoor air quality and safety / health / environmental/ sustainability issues to align with company and departmental objectives.
  • Provide technical support to other Units / Departments with respect to building services issues including tenant fitting out, reinstatement and minor alternation and modification works and inputs on new development.
  • Conduct periodic review and audit of building services systems & installations to maintain the required quality standards and conditions.
  • Compile and manage budget plans for capital and operational expenses.
  • Prepare specifications and tender documents for repair and maintenance works / projects of the assigned Hysan building(s).  
  • Ensure Health & Safety compliance with policies, systems and procedures are in place.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience Requirements

  • Degree holder in building services engineering or related engineering disciplines
  • MCIBSE / MHKIE or equivalent professional qualification is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in technical services 
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
  • Good interpersonal and strong sense of responsibility
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Candidate with less experience would be considered as Senior Engineer / Engineer
