Assistant Clerk of Works (24-month Contract)

We are looking for the following experienced professional who is capable of carrying out supervision and co-ordination work for Grade A Office and Retails Redevelopment Project in Causeway Bay Area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the project team and act as the site representative of the developer to perform site supervisory duties.
  • Coordinate with main contractor and NSC (e.g. Curtain Wall and Façade, Fitting Out, etc.) and monitor the building works of the assigned property development project.
  • Liaise with consultants and contractors to ensure construction quality, progress and cost meets the contract requirements.
  • Site supervision including, but not limited to, inspection in details, checking of setting out, structural works, builder works, fitting out works, workmanship, materials, report, interpret and record concisely in accordance with specifications, detailed drawings & requirements.
  • Attend site meetings, prepare and present site reports; keep record in respect of the site progress & quality.
  • Monitor site activities and report critical issues.
  • Attend 100% of the field water test to curtain wall / glass wall systems and the water proofing test to toilets and water features.
  • Monitor work progress and site safety in compliance with the contractual and statutory requirements.
  • Supervise the contractor on work sequence and practical construction method.
  • Carry out inspection of defects and outstanding works at the completion of the work.
  • Carry out ad hoc duties related to progress and quality of work as instructed by supervisor.
  • Assist handover of projects to management office and end users.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience Requirements

  • High Diploma or Diploma in Construction/ Building Studies / Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Experience from superstructure stage to handover stage of the same capacity. Commercial development especially Grade‐A office and retail experience would be an advantage.
  • Proficient in quality requirements in the industry.
  • Familiar with Building Regulations and well versed in coordination of services and construction details.
  • Well organized, self-disciplined and able to work under pressure & independently.
  • Good communication, coordination and interpersonal skills
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Good PC skills & knowledge.
