Manager, Technical Services (Building Surveying)

Job Purpose

  • Provide technical support to Business Units and other Departments with respect to general building issues including tenant fitting out, reinstatement, alteration & modification works and input on new developments.
  • Plan, audit and assess the condition of existing buildings, identify, and analyse defects, including feasibility studies and proposals for repair.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all building maintenance, alterations and improvement works are complied with all relevant H&S and Statutory requirements.
  • Manage annual OpEx and CAPEX budget and works. 
  • Provide technical advice on the feasibility, practicality, and estimated costs of proposals for budgeting and planning.
  • Plan and advise on the technical and cost implications of alterations, adaptations, and routine repair & maintenance works of existing buildings.
  • Manage procurement, contracts, and relevant maintenance works to be completed on budget and to schedule.
  • Advise on energy efficiency, environmental impact and sustainable improvement works.

 

Skills, Qualifications and Experience Requirements

  • Degree holder in building surveying or construction related discipline.
  • MHKIS / MRICS or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience in building fabric and maintenance works with 5 years at supervisory level in a leading property developer / landlord.
  • Good management skills and strong sense of responsibility/urgency
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
  • Good PC skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
