Manager, Technical Services (Building Surveying)
Job Purpose
- Provide technical support to Business Units and other Departments with respect to general building issues including tenant fitting out, reinstatement, alteration & modification works and input on new developments.
- Plan, audit and assess the condition of existing buildings, identify, and analyse defects, including feasibility studies and proposals for repair.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all building maintenance, alterations and improvement works are complied with all relevant H&S and Statutory requirements.
- Manage annual OpEx and CAPEX budget and works.
- Provide technical advice on the feasibility, practicality, and estimated costs of proposals for budgeting and planning.
- Plan and advise on the technical and cost implications of alterations, adaptations, and routine repair & maintenance works of existing buildings.
- Manage procurement, contracts, and relevant maintenance works to be completed on budget and to schedule.
- Advise on energy efficiency, environmental impact and sustainable improvement works.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience Requirements
- Degree holder in building surveying or construction related discipline.
- MHKIS / MRICS or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience in building fabric and maintenance works with 5 years at supervisory level in a leading property developer / landlord.
- Good management skills and strong sense of responsibility/urgency
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
- Good PC skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
