Senior Manager, Retail & Office Environment Curation

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Head of Projects Department, and coordinate with Leasing and Property Management Departments for preparing retail mall and office interior, lighting, graphics, signages and directories design, FF&E and art pieces selection, VM, temporary installations, and vetting retail tenants’ design submissions, in order to curate and control the ambience of Hysan’s retail mall and office environment aligning with the business objective and design concept.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide in-house interior, lighting, graphics, signages and directories design for retail malls and office, which also include,
    • FF&E selection, i.e. furniture, flower pots, art pieces, VM, etc.;
    • Operation signages / signs.
  • Wrap up and prepare Design Guidelines for functional requirements of all front of house areas (mall arcade, shop front, office lobbies, toilets, baby care room, etc.), and Landlord Design Requirements for tenants’ shop front, office entrances and interior.
  • Vet tenants’ external façade, internal shop front, office entrance and interior design on aesthetic aspect.  
  • Prepare feasibility study on shop layouts, façade, office common areas minor alteration to facilitate Leasing’s liaison with potential tenants.
  • Prepare hoarding graphics and decorations for vacant shops and supervise installation.
  • Prepare hoarding graphics and decorations for A&A works and supervise installation.
  • Resolve design and technical issues throughout the design and installation / construction stages.
  • Coordinate and negotiate with various internal and external stakeholders, i.e. Projects Department team members, internal departments (Leasing, Marketing, Property Management, etc.), external partners, tenants, design consultants and contractors, etc..
  • Provide in-house design support including sketches, graphics, and presentation.

 

Skills, Qualifications and Experience Requirements

  • Degree in interior design, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 15-years’ post-graduate work experience on commercial projects.
  • Exposure in prestige retail / hospitality / office projects is an advantage.
  • Good sense and experience in conceptual thinking with strong design flair. 
  • Ample experiences and technical knowledges to handle design detailing and construction coordination matters independently to ensure delivering 1st class design and high-quality standard. 
  • Ability to work within multi-disciplinary team. A good and proactive team player and able to work independently under pressure.
  • Proactive with good interpersonal and communication skills on liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
  • CAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, 3D skill and Microsoft offices are must. 
  • Good presentation skills to communicate ideas.
